6 speed dccd + 6 speed non dccd
As the title says, is there any difference in strength between the 2. The dccd 6 speeder n the non dccd 6 speeder. Only going for around 400. But that may change next year... So its in my best interest to find out now. Thanks

We are seeing breakage of viscous centre diffs happening these days on earlier cars / boxes. The end thrust washers in the viscous are quite flimsy and poorly located. Once the locating tag degrades, the end thrust washer starts to spin round and round, wearing away.
Once gone there is end float and the planetary set side thrust washers fall out. At that point you have a 2wd car.
Be careful buying used bug eye 6 speed non dccd boxes, as a new viscous is circa 470 quid + VAT.
We are also seeing significant wear on gear synchro teeth rendering poor synchro on dccd and non dccd types.
Never yet seen a 6 speeder with busted gear teeth though.
