Identifying a rear diff.
I've bought a six-speed box to fit my classic, it came with driveshafts, linkages, starter etc.
It also had propshafts and a rear diff.
However, the rear diff looks older than the gearbox.
Is there a way of telling what it's off? It's ratio?
Likewise, the gearbox, where is the code for it?
TIA

Rotate input flange 3.5 turns and the output should rotate once....
3.54 : 1 is normal for a U.K. box, and they have no "cr*p trap" to keep them clean unlike the gearbox.
