Default my 02 sti 6 speed

can a worn clutch make gearchange a bit notchy and not smooth, also hardish to go in first gear wen moving slightly.its as if changing gear the clutch isnt in sync, its not a big problem and most people wouldnt notice but i do,havent had a 6 speed before and i know the synchros play up but want to get an idea of any faults there may be,can you bleed the fluid or change it on these ?also once read that david at api sorted someones slightly bent gearstick,is this common ? any thoughts please thanks.

Cant see it being anything to do with the clutch
Gearbox oil
Synchro most likely knackered - doubt its a bent lever

I have similar issues with a 5 speed! - and am informed that the gearbox oil should be replaced

Sounds an awful lot like worn syncro's maybe try changing the gearbox oil first before anything else.

Api in leamington. Synchro's were £90 but that wasn't all of them, 4th, 5th & 6th I think. Not sure what the labour would cost as I supplied my box out of the car. Give David a call, he will sort it for you.
