Cool

I had a "BAILEY" dump valve fitted by Graham Goode and was very pleased with it.

As to the best dump valve I am afraid I do not know......but the Graham Goode one did come colour coded to match the car and was 100% reliable.

The only bit of kit required is a dump valve fitting kit which I think is made up of the clips and tubing etc.

Hope this is of some help

Hmm I see a lot of differing opinions on DTA dump valves And usually that they are bad for the car. If a Subaru dealer fits them then surely they cant be that bad?

Rich - is it an official listed upgrade or just a listers only deal? Does it affect your warranty at all? And finally does it sound good?

It sounded absolutely amazing...little chatter on low boost and a big whooosh on max boost...

...as for warrenty implications/failure...well I've I'd had problems cos of it my dealer and IM would have found out how angry I can get...

Question

I may get a Forge dump valve. Is the re-circ DV quieter? Is there any particular reason why you bought a dump to atmos, as opposed to re-circ? I know sweet FA about dump valves, just wanna know the best option to go for

Question

Is there a dump valve where you can "turn the noise off" if you wanted to? Would love to get one, but would really **** me off sometimes!

Provided you get the correct one, like a bailey Evo valve there should not be any kind of adverse effect to the car's running. The only exception is that fuel consumption may go up a little because they're so much fun you'll be on & off the throttle all the time just to hear it!

After having DVs on two different cars now over about 3 years, I have never ONCE tired of hearing that beautiful sound every time I change gear or lift off the peddle - I love it and wish it was much louder!

Difference between a recirc and an atmos is basically noise!

The HKS one has a re-circ kit, so it could be run either way. Not cheap, though! The dump-vavle, that is - the recirc kit is cheap!

Got my dump-valve fitting kit from Graham Goods today and mounted it with a recirc dump-valve.. I'm actually not sure what make the dump-valve is because I bought it from a tuning-store here in denmark, but it's kinda big and even though it don't make the "psssh" noise, it makes a cool "ps--hh-hh-hh" noise ;-) Like the one a Cosworth has..

I'm very pleased with it so far.. I also combined this with the SAMCO intercooler-kit, so the sound might have been reinforced by that..

Question

What is the best dump valve to go for ?
Are they easy to fit ?
Does anything else have to be altered to accomodate the dump valve ?
Prices ?
