Question

I've confirmed with Jonny @ Grasshopper that they are available for the MY'01 , circa 850 quid rrp.

Anybody used them on the pre '01 - comments?

Cheers, Alex

About 5 friends of mine have them. The HKS item is the same with the old but with a lamda sensor hole.
Comments: excellent quality, needs careful installation to ensure tightness good mid-high end without any low down loss.
with std air filter+hks manifold+full PPP+ d/p magnex gave me a good262 cv on dyno at 0.9 bar never saw more than 1 bar boost on my MY00 GT ( turbo)
I suspect more gains on the WRX as there is a small cat in OEM manifold

Question

My understanding is that the CAT is in the up-pipe (as well as d/p and centre section) on the WRX, so do the HKS headers come with an uppipe as well then?

The HKS headers for the 1st generation scoob don't come with an up pipe, you use the original. I think that the generation 2 scoob uses the same headers although don't quote me on that

Christian, they're not equal length, just tubular, as Alex can tell you the sound is, well interesting Not unlike a V-tec version of a scoob with a lovely rasp...well that is if you have a S/S downpipe and HKS hiper muffler as well

Oh and it makes the car very loud...along with making spool up on a biggish turbo mighty impressive

What Tim said

V.Noisy, nice bit of kit, un-equal and usually leans the fueling out enough that you need to put some more fuel in.......
