Default Miss Match Diff

Hi i wonder if there is any one out there that can help? i have a STI V4 and ive had the front and rear diff replaced today i had it on the RR as i have a strange vibration and it turns out the diff are miss matched the garage seem to think that the front wheels are turning quicker than the rear i brought the front diff and was told it was from a version 4 sti the rear diff wheels turn slower and the garage thought it might be a uk diff but i have jacked the back of the car up and when turning the wheels by hand they turn the same was so its is a LSD did the UK cars have a LSD?

Is there a easy way to work out the front diff ratio with out having to take the gear box out? the garage say to mark the prop and front drive shaft and turn by hand and see how many times the drive shaft turns to one revolution of the prop will this help me and how many turns should i expect for a 4.44 dif?

Regards
Ian
