Hi Folks,

After reading various threads on the site, it looks like i'm going to need a new 5th gear syncro fitting on my Type R as it crunches everytime I engage 5th gear.

Any ideas how much it will cost? Also, any recommendations on where to take it? I live in the Midlands (nr. Mansfield).

hey matie.. mines similar but i can live with it.. first thing i tried was changing my gear oil to castrol syntrax gear oil and to be honest its made alot of differance but it still crunches slightly so i wud advise that first.
5th gear can be changed but it depends how long its been crunching for.. and if the cone ect needs changing.. if so it WILL be expensive and uneconomical. In this case i would advise you speak to Dave at APi who would offer you a recon part exchange for afew notes.
