Inlet hose - diameter?
Hiya fellas!
I'm going to sort my own induction kit...and do away with that pesky MAF. I'm going to go the simple route with 1 silicone hose, and 1 generic K&N conefilter.
But...I haven't been out 2 measure the outer diameter of the plastic (the nasty one) inlet (that goes under the manifold to the turbo)....does anyone know the size from heart?
Cheers!

to my knowledge the standard plastic crappy thing is 60mm although it uisnt round everywhere.
70mm can go in I think at a push. It might be worth ahving some spacers made and lifting the manifold by 5 to 10 mm, then you could squeez 80mm in.
problem is location of popwer steering fluid reservoir (I think, or is it water header tank) which gets in the way. remote mounting of thios thingy will free up more space just before ait filter.

Thnx Adam...but i wasn't actually gonna do that...yet...
It's just a temporary quick fix for when the HKS FMIC finds it way into the engine compartment (and I thought of geting rid of the MAF box at the same time)....I'm gonna slap on a piece of silicone hose on that inlet hose Ure on abt.

Thnx anyway mate!
I've had word from a reliable source that this inlet has an outer diameter of 73 mm...which means that lovely cone that had needed 76 mm will work quite well.
