6 speed cooler....

Was thinking, there's pipes on the outside of 6 speed box, that's oil feed pipes? Would following idea work maybe:

Automatic Transmission Oil Cooler With Filter 3 in. Dia. L-12 in. Incl. Filter Cartridge/2 0.25 in. NPT -3/8 in. Line Fittings/Install Instructions Alum. | eAutoWorks.com

Anyone done something similar?

Got one as std on my 5 speed, i just used a mocal cooler mounted at the front.

Do you have a pic handy of the pipe runs? How much did it cost if dont mind me asking and did you have to drill mounting points etc?

Its std subaru. I guess there will be some sort of pump in the box?

Yeh, know the 6 speed has an oil pump but not sure about the 5...I just wonder what external pipes are oil circ that would be safe to run a simple oil cooler from. Pics would be even better....

Nada, till I get the motor to a garage, might be Aug, might be early next year now, not sure...then will start making up a design with their help once I can see under the motor.
