Hi

I have heard you can place the sensor above one of the cylinders, has anyone done this? What kinda fitting is it? Have you got a pic of where the plug is?

fitting is above no3 cylinder.looks brass like in colour and is an allen key fitting thread is 1/8th npt..

Ninja,

I too am interested in this alternative location, could you please clarify:

Is there currently a (brass-like) blanking plug above no.3 cylinder which can be replaced by a 1/8"npt oil temp sender?

Do you (or anyone else) have first hand experience of taking oil temperature readings from this location?

above no 3 cylinder is the blanking plug.simply undo and replace with ur sender/use some ptf tape defi senders are a direct replacement normal running shd see approx 90deg expect more in summer or if u cane it
