Default excedy organic clutch

just had a new clutch fitted to my wifes bug eye wrx and it is very juddery. worse in reverse. is this normal and will it settle down with a few miles on it ? no problem with the previous clutch.

I'd say give it a time to settle. I've heard it maybe the problem after fitting.
Should be better after a time.

The flywheel surface has usually seen better days by the time the clutch needs changing. Was the flywheel checked for run-out/surface imperfections and then either skimmed or replaced if in poor condition?

As above, the clutch shouldn't judder if a) the flywheel is in decent nick and b) It's a genuine Exedy organic clutch, not an Ebay special.

thanks for the comments the clutch is a genuine item not from e bay. i didnt do the clutch so can't comment on the condition of the flywheel the guy who did the job prepares rally cars. and specialises in subaru / cosworth so would hope he wouldn't fit a new clutch with a shot flywheel. will run it a while and see how it goes...

Its best practice to skim it, for £30 its not worth leaving.
