Second installment of 3rd gear intermediate times.

For reference the car is a MY00, the first set of times are Magnex BB, K&N panel. The second set are Magnex BB, DP, K&N panel, HKS plugs and an intercooler splitter. Each run time is the average of 10 runs. All runs 3rd gear.

1st 1500-2500 3.30 sec 2000-5000 6.54 sec 3000-5000 5.17 sec

2nd 1500-2500 3.29 sec 2000-5000 6.27 sec 3000-5000 4.92 sec

so through the ranges the downpipe has made 0% difference, 4.13% and 4.84% respectively. Slightly unscientific but pretty reliable all the same. There you have it downpipes do make a difference for those who doubted!

I was always under the impression that DP provides more torque and normally more power - so I think I'd expect that kind of increase

I'm having a Link fitted by BRD next weekend so standbye for the next installment. What I would also like to do is try and draw some correlation between real world performance i.e %time increases with rolling road graphs. Over to you John Banks for your thoughts on this one lol.
