sti8 6 speed dccd into sti4 type r?
hi guys, im building a version 4 type r from the ground up at the min. i have the engine bay loom in place, the dash loom in place and the rear loom in place. plus brakes, pedal box dash etc. i've just bought a version 8 jdm 6 speed gearbox with dccd (ty856wb3ka) and i have fitted it to the above type r. the box came with the linkage and a few electrical wires fixed to the box. now the engine bay loom wires do not fit any of the wires on the gearbox apart from a 6 pin connecter. im just wondering if anyone can tell me or post any pics of were the wires on the gearbox are ment to be connected too? also is there ment to be a gearbox ecu as it didn't come with one???? the car loom is the type r dccd loom version 4 so no worries there. any help help would be great thanks dave

im doing the same thing as you except with a version 3. you'll need a dccd controller for the box but the v4 R has one that will work it.
there will be the main plug for the reverse switches etc
then another plug with 2 wires for the dccd
i think there is even a third one but i cant remember what it is.. perhaps the speed sensor
