US Impreza 2.5RS MY99-01 gearbox
Hello,
can I use parts from a US Impreza 2.5RS MY99-01 with number TY754VCAAB in MY00 GT gearbox? I'm replacing some parts in the MY00 GT gearbox, as the 2nd and 3rd gear is broken

I don't have any ratio information on VCAAB - try going on the NASIOC site and asking them for ratio information.
If the gear ratio is the same there's a good chance it'll fit.
Without knowing the ratios it could well be a fruitless exercise in box stripping.
Good Luck, post up any ratio info you might find please , it'll help the rest of us sometime in the future.

I think this is the ratio for a GT MY00 right?

If the boxes look physically the same; IE similar case configuration and clutch mechanism, then I suspect that the inner parts may well swap.
BUT 1st and 2nd are a pair [ in both cases ] so you need to change them as a pair. Ditto 3rd / 4th; they are also a pair, made together. Then you'll need to work out the ratios if you do that, to make sure that the gap between whichever 2nd to 3rd is acceptable and also 4th - 5th. 5th is less of a problem than 2 - 3.
You need to be careful of things like synchro ring style and synchro hub style to make sure that the right hubs / rings etc. stay with the appropriate gears.
Good luck David APi
Looking back at it the UK / GT 1 & 2nd will be a better match ratio-wise to the US 3rd 4th than vice versa. The gap from US 2nd to Uk 3rd may be too big in my opinion.
