quick and simple- my MY01 is leased by me and insured by my co. along with 1000's of other cars.

if i fit a dump valve 1) is there a possibility of warrenty issue cause the lease company wont be happy if theres a prob (if there aint a prob then no issue cause they'll never know)

2) is it an insurance thing? my companys insurance arent to fussed (ppp didnt bother them etc but a full decat might get their backs up) is a DV a big deal in the insurance world?

Tiggs

ps- anyone know of an engine mod that is undetectable once fitted? (u never know!)

omfg
ppp didnt bother them etc
Jammy get!

on topic.
I couldn't imagine that the DV would bother them as it gives no performance gain. I suppose they'd just charge the nominal £35. My insurers wern't bothered about the Induction kit (at all) or the ss dp+bb (£35) but a new ECU would be £95 and they charged me £40 for the alloys dreading renewal time

my cars insured by the firm i work for- most ppl have a normal comapny car and away you go- but last yr they started a deal with a lease firm. basicaly if you lease from this company then you still fall under co. car insurance in theory you could lease a lambo!)

when i got the car i had the lease co. pay for ppp in with the overall price (lease co. have no idea what it is but thats there prob!) so as far as my insurance are concernd i have a car that is unaltered from what the lease co. paid for.

since then the insurance have said (in writting) that a change to the exhuast or suspension is not an issue for them (but i have to be sensible cause a clause in the lease is NO MODS- but they'll never see the car agin cause i get to buy it in 3 years for £6,000 (assuming a 4 year old car with 55,000miles is worth £6k)
