rear diff or RWB.
Hi all,
i have an STI-02 jdm
Need some help i have a typical wheel bearing noise but when at a subaru dealership where i live they said the diff was U/S, i asked why and they said its locked and this is the noise i have so when i returned home i raised the car up "all four wheels" and tried the front diff everything ok there. then tried the rear its realy difficult to move the wheel indipendantly unlike the front. I have checked the oil its ok.
when driving around a corner the car wants overstear on throttle and tightens up a lot off throttle.
since then i have removed the drive shafts from the rear i have a very slight noise on oth sides but not what im hearing while driving
any help would be great before i try and find a diff.
thanks
vince

The rear diff is a plate type LSD, so should be hard to turn just one wheel if the prop is stationary (left in gear) even without it in gear you will always be fighting either the rear or centre plate LSD's!...the handling you describe is classic DCCD.
