Default Gearbox/Diff question

What's the normal Cause of the Front Diff bearings going (scraping noise on and off the power) and a realy Bad Juddering when on full lock, to the point the front wheels try and lock up

The Box is a 95 WRX spec box and had just been fitted (correct oil used and Properly fitted by a trusted garage) and the matching diff was used, Problems were there as soon as it came off the ramp

Box was stored by seller Outside i think as it was Wet when collected and there was also No bung in the Speedo drive hole to stop water geting in, Could it be that it got a little in it and corroded some thing (garage did remove drain plug but none came out) Or could it be there was something in the box loose and that its Jamed the Diff when its been transported like a bolt or something?

Other wise i can only think it must have been shot when removed to start with any idea's???

It sounds more like a shagged box was fitted or mis-matched diffs.
