Default Quick shift for 6-speed box

I've been driving the sport lately to work and around etc. My old WRX had a B&M quick shift and felt nice on gear changes.

Now with me using the Sport's 5 gear I find it is alot closer than my 6 speed STi. But only now I have noticed!! D'oh!

Can you get one for a 6-Speed and does the know come off so I can screw my Prodrive **** back on?

GFB make an adjustable 6 speed one. It replaces the gearstick but the top fitting is the same for the gear ****. I have my throw set at about 45mm (OE is 80mm) which works for me. Can be made even shorter.

I would say this is an aquired taste due to the increased effort required to move the lever and worth finding someone near you with one fitted to try first. Works better with a paddle clutch and lightened flywheel as reduced inertia in drive train helps the syncro.

Perrin do one as well. Take a look on the TSL website.

I've got a B&M one on mine and although it was a bit notchy to begin with it's now loosened up nicely. Certainly a MOD I'd do again. Mine came from Revolution

Be careful, some info I got suggests the early six speed linkage is a bit different to later cars....

Subaru have one listed at £300 + !

Thanks for the info folks.

Will look into it as the more I think about the long throw the more it annoys me. lol

May speak to Prodrive about a sequential box and shifter.lol I'd better re-mortgage the love nest.

I have got just the shortthrow shifter from Kartboy in and it is really fine and sit´s just a little lower than stock.
Maybe have a look at their website: Kartboy Products

The price is really okay for what you get!
