Had my MY94 UK Scoob set-up and running 15psi, shortend the length of the Actuator Rod by a few turns last night and had my 1st Fuel Cut expereience on the way to work this morning.

4th Gear, gauge read approx 17psi before my head hit the winderscreen....Ouch !!!!!

I think I need to back things off a tad :-)

It was a bit of a bitch, as there are about 6 bolts to remove from the heatshield (and there not all that visable). One of which can only be got at from below.

Will be easier the next time around as I know where all the bolts are now.

It is quite good as a finger scalpel too

I turned mine by 3 turns to get it similar to other cars which were running more boost, but if you car is "normal" then 3 is probably too many? Could always turn your boost controller down to compensate? However, you will possibly also worsen the part throttle full boost issues - I had to increase my bleed hole again to 2mm after I tightened the actuator but this is on a TD04L car.

Adjustments to the boost control will be done, as it is easier than taking the heatshield off again.....

I think Subaru have a policy of placing razor sharp bits around the parts they think the modders will go for (like the ECU!)

At least the area around the Dawes is safe - so long as the engine's cold !
