Title says it all! I've got a MY01 with a SS backbox and was wondering if there would be any benifits in running a de-catted centre section. I'm after more noise more than power increases (more power is always nice though )

I don't want the downpipe yet (I'll wait until the warrenty runs out for that ).

Thanks in advance.

Thumbs up

I was running an SS back box and SS centre (two pieces on the '01) on my '01 WRX.. PE day I got 235Bhp/225lbs torque and larger power band than standard (not sure about why the torque figures were down)... I also had an ITG panel filter installed.

- its definitely quicker
- its definitely louder

SS Back box, centre section and downpipe.

Dunno about power because I got it done from new.

But it's, um, not very discreet

Not *actually* offensively loud. But not that far short either
