tech help on impreza rear diff
#1
hi, i was wondering if anyone could help on this subject? im swapping my rear diff, and when i removed the old one, i removed the driveshafts the proper way i.e. knocking the roll pins out of the shafts.
however, the diff that i have got hold of now does not have any shafts in it.
question is, how do i get the shafts out of my old diff, they are splined, but how difficult are they to get out?
any help really apprieciated.

it sounds like you have an old diff if you had to knock the pins out . the later driveshafts have the shafts on the doj which is held in the diff by a circlip i think. and this sounds like you have a late diff which is probably totally different internally. your best bet is to buy new driveshafts but these are handed so be careful
