Default P1 gearbox conversion

Do the drive shafts out of a 1997 uk car fit the diff off a P1

Or will i have to change driveshafts and hubs too?

hopefully just a straight swap.

Quick answer appreciated guys.

THanks
Jamie

You will need to change the driveshafts as the P1 has a plated diff, however you could just get the diff from any sti 3,4,5 or 6 and that will drop straight in with your existing driveshafts.

Just hubs as the P1 has an R160 diff, which runs the same thickness shafts as your car.

no apparently the hubs wont be an issue. Just talked to Pennine and they said the hubs will be the same i MAY have to change the drive shafts but MAY be ok just depends really.

So fingers crossed it all goes together nicely

Sorry I meant you will not need to change the hubs but the driveshafts will need to be changed as I did the above conversion to my sti 3, before Chy removed it and replaced it with a 6 speed box
