Blitz and HKS do the loud blow off valves, instead of the Pishhhhh
it's more like a cross between a growl and a steam train setting off
I've got a Blitz, and it's certainly un-nerves walkers and cyclists
when out at the weekend
Not cheap though, around £250+ for the unit

I'd reckon it's a Turbosmart Supersonic.

I know someone who has bought one and it's huge. The trumpet is 2.75" diam.!!!!
It was £172 including shipping from Aus!!
Not heard it for real yet, but you can download the sound it makes from the website.
cheers

Craft,
Have you had any problems since fitting your dump valve? I've been thinking about having one fitted to my scooby (UK MY97) but been put off by the warnings about it affecting my fueling.

Simple answer really, no!
As soon as we got the car had it fitted so haven't really experienced it without, so can't really comment. What exactly do you mean, problems with fueling btw?

Craft,
I've read a few posts on here from people saying that fitting the "wrong" type of dump valve i.e. the ones that vent to atmosphere, can upset the running (especially idling?) of scoobys that haven't had the fueling modified.
As I understand this (I'm not very technical, so bear with me!) the ecu cannot adjust the fuel/air mixture correctly to take into account the air being vented, so unburnt fuel is being passed through the engine and into the exhaust, resulting in pops, bangs and flames. I appreciate that this adversely affects the fuel consumption (but would look and sound very nice ) but what effect would this have on engine and/or turbo relaibilty (if at all?)
If any of the above is wrong, please feel free to put me right as I am a novice when it comes to this sort of thing!

At idle, the scoob runs around 800rpm, which seems to be ok, get around 250 out of a full tank, but no flames etc, yet
I'm pretty sure HKS do a recirculating bov if after one of these?
Not that technical myself, but I think it's horses for courses, just get what you feel happy with, I did, and 30 months down the line, no probs (yet?).
Rich, yep, thats the one, and I think it's called the R2 D2 as well
See ya sunday m8!

I had an adjustable APEXI sequential BoV on my UK94 ~ didn't think it sounded as good as the HKS sequentiual BoV. But it was **LOUD** if thats what blows your trumpet
