Default clutch problems

i have a s reg 2.0 turbo just fitted new clutch, old one was shot. but new one slips in 4th and 5th when giving it some power.
fitted new flywheel when clutch was fitted.
the arm operated by the slave cylinder does not seem to have any free play. is it supposed to when clutch is in drive position. i think it may not be returning far enough to disengage the clutch. if you undo bleed, arm pushes all the way back. any ideas

I think that oil can pass by the piston on the slave and stop it fully returning
(something like that) I picked up one on ebay for £5

Hi,
I have a 1995 wrx import with a shot clutch, just read your post, did you do the clutch yourself? and was it a big job?
any help would be great.
Thanks
Dan.
