I was one of those who was all excited when there was a group buy on these a few months or more ago!

My findings are that I did notice some very minor improvement in fuel economy, but not much that is worth bragging about. Nothing noticed about the performance. It doesn't seem to be doing anything bad to the car so I have left it on.

My car is a Legacy TT, and i have since added the earthing mod. Now that is where I notice an improvement and also the fuel consumption has improved by 1-2mpg. So I don't know whether this is due to the earthing mod alone or plus the Ecotek thing.

I think the lack of response shows that a lot of us aren't sure what to say, at least there hasn't been any complaints of engine failures!

personally i wouldn't fit anything that deliberately leans out the air fuel mixture without giving any great performance benefit. There are too many mods that will do this anyway so I wouldn't want to run my engine any leaner than was necessary. I have seen one that was fitted to a friends escort, he saw no real worthy fuel benefit either. It looks like a waste of time in my honest opinion.

Cheers,

Paul.

I put one on an old 309 1.9GTi and it smoothed it out a bit. No great difference to economy. Not really worth the money IMO.

Fitted mine this week, will let you know. I reset the ECU and started using optimax at the same time so there are quite a few variables there. One thing I have noticed, it pulls cleanly lower down in top gear, but that might be the fuel.
