Guessing but if you lock the centre diff and the abs comes in and releases the brake off say the left front wheel then the speed of the four wheels will be different and could break the diff? just a thought? wouldn't expect the speed difference to be much though.

I suppose you could set it up so when in the locked position it disables ABS or alternately build something that detects when the ABS goes off and have it switch the diff into open mode. The former is probably better because you don't end up in this situation before the diff has a chance to switch.

In the manual for my last Scoob a STi VI type R it mentioned that you was able to use the handbrake! when the Diff lock lights where in the first 2 or 3 positions not sure which. So if the diff can cope with the rear wheels being locked when doing a handbrake turn on a Rally of some sort, I am sure that ABS could be fitted to only work when the diff lock was in the same positions. Of course don't make any decisions based on my pearls of wisdom just gives you an idea I hope, of what might be possible.
