ive got an impreza wagon 1996 turbo2000 the gear leaver springs back to 3rd and 4th (the middle) if you pull it towards 5th and let go but if you push it towards 1st and 2nd and let go it dont. dose anyone know what the problem could be and what i need to fix it and what i need to do to fix it thanks si

 

yup its a spring missing/corroded just done mine last week, dealer part cost less than £1.50, went to kwick fit and they fitted it. tried doing it layed on my back and its quite awquard not worth the hassle.
