Default Big thud after 5k rpm?

Also when I put my foot down after 4,000rpm -7rpm ill get a thud and the car and me jault like discs are banging together. Im thinking its clutch. Happens in most gears. Only if I put my foot down.

Do you mean when you put your foot down on a fast hard gear change?
If so thn i think its just your rear diff moving about, mine does it.
I dont think its anything to worry about.

That will be overboost sensed in the ecu and the fuel cut very suddenly.

Usually occures in cold weather when boost will be high.
Bet if you just e a s e the throttle off at '4900' you can drive through it?

The prob will be far more noticeable in cold air and /or if you have an aftermarket exhaust allowing freer flow. The 2 together makes for a difficult prob to overcome.
A boost controller will do it, but you might want to consider a good ecu like apexi or Simtek.

The only problem side is the severe jolt the car gets instantly when the engine is certainly giving its all.
It will probably go in the hot summer, though in my case it didn't, hence the Blitz boost controller which worked, but cost too much. But i knew even less about Imprezas 5 years ago...

Boost controller (limiter) using an adjustable system or a decent ecu like Apexi.
