Default 6 speed sti box question

i have a uk 53 plate sti with the 6 speed box, as i have started doing a bit of drag racing ime having to go through 5 gears to cross the line.i was talking to alan bell at the end of last year an he said that he was goin over the line in 4th gear as his car had the forester sti box fitted.so my question is what would i need for this conversion is it just a straight gearbox swap over or will i need to change my prop and rear diff aswell.or is there an easier way to give me longer gearing ie,different diff. thanks . arf.

No not just a simple gearbox swap as you have uk car, you will also need the matching rear diff as the as the forrester will have the JDM 3.9 final drive due to 1:1 drop gears as opposed to your 3.545 uk final drive due to 1:1:1 drop gears.
