dif lock?
have an empty fuse holder under the bonnet (my93 wrx auto) that says dif lock, any body any idea what it's for? i assume that fitting a fuse will either engage/disengage something, but as this car has no dccd (ie no electronic control of difs) is this a redundant feature of another model?
thanks in advance phil.

The auto isn't full time 4WD, its FWD with the rear drive provided by a controlled clutch pack in the back of the gearbox, this gives a nominal 50/50 split in 1st reducing to a nominal 90/10 in 4th, putting the right size fuse in (12A from memory only) unlocks theat clutch leaving you with FWD only, usually used for a front suspended tow.

Well it is (they are nominal amounts remember, it all depends on a number of factors what the actual real time split is)......in what way does it not feel like that?
