i have just brought a 54 plate sti type uk and had noticed a humming noise from the rear on the way home from picking it up. well today i seem to be getting a clicking noist when i pull away but not all the time. sounds like a driveshaft. then when im slowing down, just before stoping i get a knocking noise from the rear of the car. it feels like im going over a little bump or something. strange thing is, its only happens whem im comeing to a stop or moveing of slowly. may also be a whining noise from the frount but hard to hear over the exhaust.
any one have any ideas as to what this can be?

i had a similer sounding noise on my sti o4 had warrenty but was told normal 1st and second gear noise nothing went wrong and noise gone now hope you have same out come

 

yeh i have been told that by a few other people now. was just worried as i had just brought the car and dont know that much about them. thanks for the reply tho.
