Samco Intercooler hosing?
#1
Hi,
http://www.samcosport.co.uk/samco.asp?make=subaru
Has anyone used the "turbo" hoses in their car? I presume that "turbo" hoses are the turbocharger to intercooler ducting.
Noting that these hoses as standard on MY01 are regarded as ****, and are "revised" in the prodrive pack, are the samco hoses likely to flow any better? or is it just a case of them looking nicer, but out of sight?

i purchased my MY00 with samco hosing already on the intercooler... dealer upgraded the existing perished hosing for the previous owner, 1) it looks way better in the engine bay (they even have the samco logo on the 2" piece ontop of the intercooler) and 2) as its silicone and a least 3ply it should be more durable, as for performance gains i assume if u r upgrading alot on the engine samco hosing provideds piece of mind

While we're on the matter....you guys who have fitted these "turbo hoses" yourselves...did you notice that the hose between the turbo and the ic gets squished rather bad between the ic itself and the engine/gearbox?
A mate of mine had his scoob in for service, and they noticed that it'd started to scrub the surface on the hose...
