Default Which Clutch for 450/450 ?

Any recommendations ? Is twin plate necessary ?

Cheers

uprated organic on 6speed setup, twinplate is good choice on 5 speed and will last longer than 5pseed uprated organic. Long term the twinplate is likely to cheaper overall if you're buying a flywheel too.

Sorry I meant to say the twin plate is the right choice long term. Don't bother with the carbon unless you're going to go triple, they don't work as well as the cerametallic. You want the normal sprung centre cerametallic if you're going that route, they drive very nicely once bedded, better than an uprated organic on the 6speed IMHO. They last very well, and if you're going to keep the car for 3 years or so, it's worth the extra.

The single plate options for that power and torque are "okay" they don't drive as nicely, heavier pedal, don't last as long, but they are cheaper.

I'm running 6 speed AP racing organic clutch, holds 490 ft lb no probs...I've only done one standing start though and she did stink a bit, but boy was it fun!

mark is right as I will be swapping my single plate for a twin plate shortly as I'm heading for 600bhp'ish and I don't trust a single plate clutch as if it goes my car won't start
