MY97 STi gearbox - straight cut gears?

Can anyone tell me whether the gearbox for a version 3 STi has straight cut gears or not?
Are the version 3 STi gearboxes prone to any problems?

Any help would be much appreciated

nope, justa normal gearbox, only straight cut box's are aftermarket gear sets

I have an Sti V3 box and it has been just great through lots of very hard abuse with 360 x 350 engine etc.
Gears are helical and super quiet and smooth.

Tidgy is dead right.
