Default Rear diff plug bit size

Just a quick question, What size square bit do I need for the rear diff drain plug and filling plug and is the gearbox the same?

Cheers,

Ayde.

1/2" square, so a standard 1/2" socket drive does the job. Chances are, it will be very tight as it's a tapered thread.

Mine was very hard to remove.
I invested in some more extention bars (half inch) So the came out past the rear bumper, i then put a 2 foot bar on that and also a scafolding pole on that (To extend the length of the bar)
I then got my dad to put pressure on the plug (Pushing against the bar down onto the plug so it did not slip out) I then undone it, but it was very hard to get out, so take your time and get a helping pair of hands.
