Default GEARBOX AND DIFF

HI EVERYONE

FIRST OFF.IM NEW TO SUBARU'S, IS THE GEARBOX AND DIFF OIL FILLED AND DRAINED FROM THE SAME PLACE?
IF NOT WHERE DO I DRAIN AND FILL THEM BOTH.

AND HOW MUCH OIL AND WHICH STUFF WILL I NEED?

HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP.THANKS ALOT

Hello mate,

The gearbox filler is the same tube that the dip stick uses. Its the one between the turbo and top mounted intercooler. The drain plug is the one on the underside of the gearbox. Just in case you dont know, the front diff is inside the gearbox too.

Give Alyn a call at AS Performance - Rally Motorsport Specialists as he can help supply the correct oil. I used the same oil for the gearbox and rear diff, but this depends on the type of diff fitted. Alyn will tell you more.

what about the rear diff how do you get oil in to that one?

im going to do it all tomorrow just if i have an idea how to it should be alittle eacyer lol

2 plugs on the rear facing section of the diff. Lower on is drain, upper one is fill.

Easy really, but use the RIGHT oil.

was told 75w 90 for both the gearbox and diff.

does that sound ok?????
