Default Gear ratios...

Hi,
Can anyone tell me the gear ratios that come with the DCCD gearboxes?

One of my customers has an L reg RA which has now been converted to 2.5 n/a for road rallying. The current gear ratios are fine but the gearbox isn't quite strong enough, or adjustable enough for his liking and he would like to upgrade...(there's a couple on eBay right now which he's not sure whether to buy or not!)

Currently 1st 3.45 2nd 2.33 3rd 1.75 4th 1.35 and 5th 0.97 with a 1:1 drop and 4.111 diffs.

Is there anything out there that'll match these closely? It'd be a shame to have to compromise the way it goes at the moment!

Cheers,

Tom.

do a search for the SPDA gearbox chart, that should help, alternatively rallispec Ltd do the same thing.

TY754 coded boxes are generally stronger BUT the gear ratio's are slightly different to your current set up.
WRX RA boxes from 99-00 should be ok and won't have the DCCD which would make swapping over easier - just be careful to check the final drive ratios though as the later boxes had 4.444 final drive. You would then have to get a 4.444 plated rear diff to match

cheers

Cheers for that, that's a wealth of info - almost too much!
