Question Engine swap!

How hard is it to get a MY94 import engine in to a MY96 UK 2000?

I take it the ecu you will need to be changed but having both cars side by side when doing it will it be alot of work?

Note, My94 in full working order, My96 bottem end gone!

Just swap the block mate, you may have issues with the inlet manifold and engine wiring loom. Better just to use the existing loom and ecu. I did this the other way round.

if your engine has a front entry turbo on, simply swap all of your ancil's and manifold onto the new engine complete and the car will run perfectly fine - no need to get involved in swapping the ECU or whatever

forgot to add if your car has the older style 90deg turbio set-up then everything swaps straight across - same manifold, etc. on the import car

Also, you can get new covers for the td05-16 with the 90 deg to convert it to front entry. I know for definite that Andy Forrest sells them, and other may as well.
