Guys,
im being quoted 650 for a P1 gearbox rebuild minimum, is there an alternative?
I have a 1995 wrx with P1 box and it's making all sorts of funny noises.

What would I have to do to get a u.k box in it?
Im only running 300hp

Too true.

 

He has given me some excellent advice and a rough estimate for a re build.
£650 is more than I have got though, was thinking about a 2nd hand u.k one and changing the rear diff what would one cost?

 

Inc labour to fit it all?

Quite a time consuming job doing both (as i know all too well)

 

£400 + VAT labour to remove Inspect and reassemble seems good but it could be another £00-£400 in parts if it's all Fooked up!
Best part of £800 hence im looking for a cheaper alternative!
Still think David @ API is top bloke and top company always responds to emails quickly, very polite, excellent advice allround top bloke im just skint!
