Hi,

I've got the PPP kit+ decat downpipe on my MY99 RB5 and it's pretty cool but I have already started to think about one or two tweaks.

My first thought was a performance panel filter of some description, what do you recommend? I've heard of people having problems with HKS/Blitz cone filters with later cars, your thoughts?
Also, is it worth getting something along the lines of a Forge recirculating dump valve in place of the standard one?

I also know that UP Auto (http://www.upauto.co.uk/) do the lovely Apexi kit but would it be worth getting the Super AVC-R and Super AFC to use in conjunction with the PPP?
would the PPP need changing?
do the controllers give an improvement 'out of the box'?
they sound like potentially disasterous controls to play with, do they have 'safe' predefined limits?

Last thing, I note that the PPP includes revised intercooler piping, does anyone know what difference this makes and also if Samco can provide a complete set of hoses taking the revision into account?

ta,
Matt

There is a company here in Ireland that makes an induction kit using a K+N (if I recall correctly) but the difference is they will guarantee your MAF sensor, he posts on the board as Mac's Power and his website is www.macspower.net

K&N induction kit I think makes a load of noise and not a lot of go compared with other mods so mine is coming off when I get round to doing it and will probably stay off. In your other thread I have given some thoughts on boost controllers. Concensus seems to be stick to 17-17.5PSI and check fuelling +/- knock and you are OK.

Thanks John, just taken a look and yes, it is a massive difference! So, you'd go for the Apexi kit then? do you know of any good places to get them fitted?

Matt

Wink

I've got the Blitz induction kit on mine, no probs - although I don't know what gains I've got cos i got my full exhaust system at the same time.

Noise is good though!!!

did you find that the Blitz reduced the amount of torque the car's got? The reason that I ask is that I had the blitz kit on my MY94 WRX and it made the car rev a lot free-er but at the expense of torque (imho).
