Default Strongest rear diff and driveshafts?

As per title really, whats the strongest rear diff and driveshafts available (will be uprating internals with a plated 2way anyhow mind) for Classis shape Imprezas?

The R180 TypeR diff is what springs to mind, though i dont know how bulletproof it is, and no idea about driveshafts.

You see those drift Imprezas in Japan using Skyline diffs n stuff so maybe even the TypeR one is far from bulletproof actually

I think the R180 is the strongest diff, and GKN specials for the driveshafts at horrendous cost.
Call David at Welcome to the API website for advice.
Tell him '911' sent you.

Been reliably informed even a R180 wont last any time at all in RWD use with decent power/grip.

Hmm, poo.

Is there a bigger/stronger diff that can be mate to fit?

Call andy forrest at www.andtforrestperformance.com
I would wager he has the most powerful Impreza in the UK.
I'm quite sure he has a R180 with GKN shafts.

911 can't spell!

Try Rally Colin at Tamesvalleymotorsport... he has built a few rear wheel drive impreza's for drifting action .. guess he may know how to keep the back axle intact at 300+ through one axle!

Try DRIVESHAFTS SHOP: Stock, Performance Drive Shafts, Aluminum Drive Shaft, Racing Axles they can help with drivedhafts and axles. They are big in the US and supply a heap of the leading and most powerful cars.

Quoted 2000 USD for lightweight aluminium one piece driveshaft and front and rear axles. may go for the lighter driveshaft at moment for response. The axles are big and beefy rated for over 800bhp. Will keep posted.
