Did adding your prodrive back box .......
increase the power on your Impreza turbo.
I'm looking to increase performance, without spending a forture or loads of boy racer noise.
The exhaust seems the best place to start.
Thinking of prodrive or Remus backbox
What else can I do?

I put on a WR Sport back box a few months back, and although the power increase is marginal, the car definitely seems to pull more cleanly from low revs and seems a bit smoother at the top end too.
There's a good bit more bass at idle, but overall it's not too loud. Although the wife claims the kitchen window vibrates when I pull onto the drive.....

I think changing the backbox probably makes the car feel faster, without actually making much difference! Top end much better, though.
I've tried (well, got) both the prodrive & remus BB, but attached to a catless setup (so the big performance jump comes from the DP
). The remus is cheap & made of mild steel but build quality is excellent - it's quiet at all rpm & manages to almost produce a refined sound somehow. Zero drone on the motorway, nice deep burble when pottering, sort of splattery when pushed. The prodrive is stainless, pretty quiet while pottering, very nice (& loud!) when pushed - a little drone on the motorway but not bad at all.
Both are good but depends what you want - the obvious benefit of the remus is it's half the price! But I use the prodrive unless in switzerland...

Thanks for the advice so far.
The first thing I did was replace the filter with the ITG panel filter, don't think it made much difference really though.
Booked in to have the bump steer mod done at TSL.
Keep it coming.
