Question Help needed re downpipe

Can anyone tell me if a downpipe to fit sti/wrx 2001-2005 including bugeye will fit or can be made to fit a classic?
If it needs to be modified in any way what will I need to do?

cheers in advance

I thought the downpipe on the newage was shorter, as there's a seperate cat pipe and the classic one was longer, containing that cat pipe.

Go onto scoobyworld. There are exhaust section pictures on there that will help.

So if I was to buy a s/hand downpipe for bugeye I could cut it and weld in a bit to make it long enough for my MY98?
Only asking because someone near me has one for sale cheapish, just wondering if its worth doing?

they interchange if you use a full system & d/pipe off the same style car..............
i.e. a classic system will fit a new-age car if you use the downpipe to suit and vice-versa..........
