PPG gear ratio for 95 RA
Hi
Trying to find the a suitable gear ratio for a 95 RA, but based on the selection on the PPG website, it's been a bit of a struggle. The closest (near exact in fact) match was the 6 speed group N dog box which is unfortuantely not very useful (not to mention a bit expensive).
The 95 RA box apparently uses:
1st - 3.454
2nd - 2.333
3rd - 1.750
4th - 1.354
5th - 0.972
Final - 3.9
Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what did you do to retain the feel provided by the gearing above ?
Cheers

The box will be slightly shorter 1-4 with this, slightly longer in 5th using 0.825, or really tall (nice cruiser) using 0.738.
You could make up for the shorter gearing in 1-4 by using bigger tyres.

4.11 is quite a bit taller and not in the remit of
"Has anyone else had this issue and if so, what did you do to retain the feel provided by the gearing above"
Though to be fair for a car with 240-280 bhp the gearing suits, however, if you have a lot more power and feel you need a ppg box, the ratios above will be pants.... very pants
