Sorry, I thought you meant the main ECU? (passenger footwell)

As far as I know the stuff that controls the DCCD is on or in the centre diff.

1)Try putting the handbrake on and gently rev the car in-gear to rock the car on the brake.
2)Turn off engine.
3)Turn on engine and check light.
4)Go down road at about 10mph and pull the hand brake on quite sharply (do this about 3 times).
5)Turn of engine.
6)Turn on engine and check light.

Give that a shot.

While I was fitting a roll cage, I had all the seats out and part of the carpet, I faintly remember a box that size under the passenger seat, under the carpet............

Diff ECU is in the panel by the drivers right foot assuming its right hand drive).

Has it been doing it for long? It's usually caused by someone removing the gearbox like it was a non-dccd car, and ripping the loom for the DCCD from the box.

Also, the cable going in to the centre box can rot as it runs inside the box and through the fluid.

Pull the roler switch gently from the centre console by the handbrake, and check its plugged in properly, then check the loom going to the box- if you can get the car up on axle stands, you should be able to feel on top of the centre transfer and see if the cable is attached.

99% its an electrical problem.

I never knew the ecu was there!
My dccd ecu is a Type R 98 Silver alloy box, same size and white connectors.

Sub: That diagram i sent you is for the Type R but I think they are all the same.

Keep us intouch as I'm learning from you.
I'm about 2 weeks from full electrical install.
