turbo question here..........

im looking to buy a TD05 unit, ive noticed ones for sale

TDO5 16g
TDO5 18g
TDO5 20g

whats the difference and whats best suited for MY99 classic?

It's to do with the compressor wheel size, take a look at Andy's site.

Lag increases as you go up the range, generally, but then give greater power top end. The 20g is generally aimed at the higher revving STi's or a 2.5l conversion.

Don't know much about the 16g, but the 18g is classed as a 360-370 turbo and the 20g 370-400.

16g for upto 350 with alot less lag

depends what you REALLY want

for driveability go for the 16g , 550cc injectors , 3-port boost solenoid , headers , full de-cat , remap , i think a certain fellow jock may be able to help you out there

for big power(385 ish) then the 20g but then you'll be looking at alot of strengthening , clutch,gearbox,internals etc

have a look at andys site, very detailed
