Does anybody have any experience from using the Subaru pnp ECU from Autronic?
I'm thinking of going for that ECU because of good local mapper that knows this ECU!

Had an Autronic on my previous scooby. My advise is:
1. A programmable ECU is only as good as its tuner. This is very very true.

2. It is an excellent solution if you're after ultimate power. It allows you to program your maps to your specific needs and configuration. HOWEVER, it does compromise "driveability-qualities" like idle-steadiness, light throttle smoothness etc.
Remember, tuning for ultimate top end power is only one aspect of good ECU design.

I have 3 friends who are using Autronic. They have none of the problems described above. The best tuner I know often prefers to use Autronic as his weapon of choice also.

I have a unichip on my rex so am completely unbiased when I say that I think Autronic is the best value full function ECU availabe. It performs virtually as good as Motec for far less money.

If you know a good tuner who is experienced with Autronic, go for it. It can't be stated enough that the tuner is vital in getting a good ECU setup.
