Default Release bearing

I fitted a new clutch about 4 weeks ago, as of this morning Im getting a noise when it starts to bite to pull away. Once the clutch is out the noise is gone, there is also no noise if you push the clutch in and out at a standstill. You can hear it slightly while driving sometimes. Its the release bearing but on a new clutch I think this is very unusual, Im just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on a quick fix before I rip it out and fire in a new one.

Ive just had the car out for a run and when I got home I could smell oil. The engine oil level is fine but the oil level on the gearbox dipstick is just bellow the first hole and theres some oil sitting on the road, I was giving it some stick when I was out. I think this is the cause of my original problem, is the input shaft oil seal prone to going because this is the only place I can think the oil would be coming from?
