Question WRX WHINE NORMAL?

JUST BOUGHT A WRX 2001 AND AT SLOW SPEEDS IN 1ST WHEN SLOWING DOWN THERE IS A SLIGHT WHINE IS THIS NORMAL?

mine does it too but not only in first. Its normally when I get to about 20 - 25 mph

Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated as it's still under warranty

Mine does it too MY95 WRX. I also get it through the lower rev range mainly in 1st and 2nd.

I not only get it on deceleration but also while accelerating

I get that on a 04 plate WRX. spoke to dealer and said as long it was a faint whine then nothing to worry about. if it is loud and intrusive then the diff could have a problem..

Mine does it at as (53 blob eye).
Best way to fix it is fit a louder exhaust

my 94 wrx did it the day i picked it up and thought the gearbox was on its way out, then about three weeks later i drove an o3 wrx wagon we had at work and sounded the same if not a little louder
