Default Rear diff swap

I had a driveshaft snap the other day but it snapped on the spline where it goes in the rear diff, so the spline part was in two halfs, hope that makes sence lol.
I managed to get the rest of the spline out of the diff but I cant get another driveshaft to go in. It seems asthough the splines in the diff have been damaged aswell.

What i was wondering is is it possible to take the crownwheel and pinion out of the damaged diff which is an sti and fit them to a uk diff so the ratios are the sti ones?

on a classic btw

Cheers

I do not actually know the answer, but I think the LSD in the Sti diff might not be compatable with the UK diff, but I could be very wrong.

I suggest you call:

www.apiengines.com

or

Alyn at www.asperformance.com

Both ace companies.

good luck.
